This two-year development program provides work experience, ideas, mentorship and university visits to twenty youth aged 16 to 18 from disadvantaged backgrounds interested in pursuing a career in law. Please read these Terms of Use (“Agreement”) carefully as they constitute a legally binding agreement and apply to your use of (a) www.springboard.com and all relevant domains, subdomains, websites and related websites (the “Site”), (b) Springboard courses, career pathway programs or other programs (“Programs”), including those offered by our University Partners, (c) any other content, entries, features, features, communication platforms, live events, information and services offered on or through the Site (subsections (a), (b) and (c) above are collectively referred to herein as the “Services”) offered to you by Springboard (“Springboard”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Springboard is owned and operated by SlideRule Labs, Inc. The Law Stepping Stone is a newly designed program that provides students with relevant information and experience in corporate law and the legal sector so that they can successfully obtain work experience, training contracts or other career opportunities. The program, sponsored by Slaughter and May, will support 90 students from disadvantaged backgrounds through one-on-one personalized support, skills workshops, application and interview preparation. Slaughter and May also offers students retreats, lawyer mentorship and internships. Launched in April 2021, the May and Slaughter Scholarship Program offers scholarships to high-potential graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds. In partnership with social mobility charity upReach, the program is an extension of the firm`s existing Law Springboard program, providing financial support as well as tailored leadership development opportunities.

The company has committed to funding three cohorts of 10 students per year for three years of university studies. The scholarship is equivalent to £3,000 per student per year, representing an investment of £270,000 over five years. Students may cancel or opt out of our programs by sending an email support@springboard.com. Some students may be eligible to opt out of our programs through their user account. Full and partial refunds in the event of cancellation or withdrawal can only be made under the circumstances and using the published procedure described in our Express Refund Policy for a student program (“Refund Policy”). Unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy, Springboard does not guarantee reimbursement of any fees or costs associated with Springboard Programs, including, but not limited to, lack of use or dissatisfaction. The partnership, ranked among the top employers in the Social Mobility Foundation`s annual employer index, builds on Slaughter and May`s existing social mobility program. Slaughter and May, the international law firm, today announced that it has entered into an exclusive partnership with social mobility charity upReach to launch Law Springboard, a program to improve access to the legal sector for high-potential students.

upReach is a not-for-profit organisation that helps students in the UK reach their potential. Then join this award-winning course! The course lasts two days in week 9 (11 and 12 March 2019) daily from approximately 8.45am to 5.30am at the University Careers Service and is led by a small team of our friendly guidance counsellors. Over the course of both days, you will explore topics such as your core values, managing feelings, effective networking, the positive use of assertiveness, and goal setting. The course is free and includes the workbook and all refreshments, including lunch. You`ll also hear from inspiring women who have faced these similar challenges in their daily lives and work. Based on our previous program: Springboard is a personal development program specifically designed for female students (including those who identify as women) (undergraduate, master`s and DPhil students). The Services may provide the use and/or use of certain social media features in connection with your use of the Services, including, but not limited to, allowing you to connect to the Services through third-party online services such as Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn (“Third Party Social Media Services”). By logging into the Services, using account information from a third-party social media service, or enabling features of third-party social media services, or using third-party social media services in connection with your use of the Services, you agree that we may transfer your login information and other related information to third-party social media service providers and others. The Services may only be for your personal, non-exclusive, non-assignable, non-transferable, non-commercial and limited use in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and for no other purpose and except as expressly permitted by Springboard herein and/or set forth in additional terms. You may not reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, display, perform, publish, distribute, distribute, broadcast, broadcast or distribute to third parties (including, but not limited to, or through any third-party website or platform) or otherwise use or share the Services, including, but not limited to, the Services without any content contained therein, without Springboard`s express prior written consent; or its owner, if Springboard is not the owner.

You agree that (i) you do not expect privacy to be respected with respect to User Content and (ii) there is no confidential, fiduciary, implied contractual or other relationship between you and Springboard because you transmit User Content to or in connection with the Services. You agree that any User Content is the sole responsibility of the person from whom such User Content originated. This means that you are solely and fully responsible for the consequences of any User Content you submit, upload, post, email, post, transmit or otherwise make available. You may not transmit, post, email, post, transmit or otherwise make available any User Content that violates or may be construed to violate this Agreement, as determined in Springboard`s sole discretion. To the extent you choose to purchase Springboard products/services, you represent and warrant that (i) you are at least 18 years of age and (b) you agree to pay all applicable fees and charges (including, but not limited to, all applicable taxes) in full when they become due, and that failure to pay such fees may result in termination of your user account. Springboard does not support all payment methods, currencies or payment locations. All applicable taxes will be calculated based on the billing information you provide to Springboard at the time of purchase. If the payment method you use (e.g. Credit Card, etc.) reaches its expiration date and you do not change your payment information or terminate your account, you acknowledge and agree that Springboard may continue to charge that payment method and you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts.
